POSITION SUMMARY

Performs functions involving maintaining cleanliness pf buildings, facilities, grounds, applies cleaning chemicals, performs light maintenance on library equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED; and 

• No prior experience or training is required; or, 

• Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. 

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid Colorado Driver’s License 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (All responsibilities may not be performed by all incumbents.)

• Collects trash inside and outside of the building, dispose of trash and recyclables.

• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, sweeps and mops floors, changes dispensers, restocks supplies, and disinfects all areas. 

• Vacuums and shampoos carpets and sweeps, mops, pressure washes, and/or buffs all floors, sidewalks, etc.

• Strips and waxes floors. 

• Dusts all surfaces

• Cleans trash receptacles 

• Cleans light fixtures

• Cleans windows

• Applies chemicals and insecticides

• Inspects and evaluates cleanliness of facilities 

• May open offices/facilities 

• Performs light grounds maintenance tasks

• Inventories supplies and equipment

IMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Performs other duties as assigned.
