POSITION SUMMARY

Performs routine functions related to providing transportation to seniors, including: transporting seniors to activities & appointments; maintaining transportation schedules and records; maintains assigned vehicle.

Performs a variety of functions related to food preparation and delivery; maintains cleanliness of food service areas and equipment

We are currently looking to fill two of this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

· High School diploma or GED; and,

· One to two years of related experience; or,

· Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Licenses and Certifications:

· Valid Colorado driver's license

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (All functions may not be performed by all incumbents.)

Provides transportation for seniors, including: transporting clients (including clients in wheelchairs, using walkers, etc.) to various locations (doctors' offices, shopping centers, etc.); ensuring wheelchair clients are strapped securely in bus; and monitoring health and behavior of clients and reporting same to supervisor.

Maintains transportation records and schedules; issues reports.

Maintains, cleans and inspects assigned vehicle; checks fluids and parts; maintains vehicle supplies; transports vehicle to shop.

Prepares and distributes food, including: assuring food is prepared within health guidelines; preparing food for special occasions; serving food; delivering food to home bound clients; and assuring dining facilities are set up correctly.

Cleans all kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, dining room, etc., in compliance with health regulations and guidelines; sweeps and mops floors; sanitizes supplies and equipment.

Operates vehicles safely and in accordance with driving regulations.

 

IMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS:

Reports administrative and/or operational problems to supervisor.

Drives senior bus or Meals on Wheels vehicle.

May serve as backup for other positions within the department.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
