POSITION SUMMARY

Performs a variety of functions related to food preparation and delivery; takes reservations; maintains cleanliness of food service areas and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED; and,
  • No prior experience or training is required; or,
  • Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Colorado driver's license (depending on assignment)

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (All responsibilities may not be performed by all incumbents.)

  • Prepares and distributes food, including: assuring food is prepared within health guidelines; preparing food for special occasions; serving food; delivering food to home‑bound clients; and assuring dining facilities are set up correctly.
  • Assists in checking‑in and storing delivered items.
  • Cleans ail kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, dining room, etc., in compliance with health regulations and guidelines; sweeps and mops floors; sanitizes supplies and equipment; assists in conducting kitchen inspections.

IMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Answers phone, takes messages, screens calls, determines nature and priority of call, provides information to callers, receives tenant complaints, and directs calls and messages to appropriate person.
  • Performs facilities maintenance functions, including: dusting, emptying trashing, cleaning bath areas, etc. Responds to emergency calls.
  • Drives senior bus.
  • Disseminates a variety of information to various agencies, divisions, or departments via telephone, mail or FAX.
  • May serve as backup for other positions within the department.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
