    Ready, Set, Read!  

    Fall Reading challenge for children Birth - 5th Grade.

    October 1st - November 30th each year

    Take our Ready, Set, Read! Challenge!

    Reading logs will be sent home with elementary school students in late September, so watch your child's backpack!
    For our little participants that are not in school yet and our homeschooling families, we have a reading log available for you at the library!

    Complete the challenge and bring your completed reading log into the library by the end of November to get your free book!


    Winter Reading Program

    This program is from Dec 1st through March 1st and is open to all ages infants through adults.  Stop by the library to sign up anytime during the program's duration to participate.  Children and teens will receive a reading log with three levels to complete with each level earning them a choice of fun prizes.  Adults receive one entry into our grand prize drawing (to be held at the end of the program) for every book they finish reading.  More books read, more chances to win!  Keep yourself and your kids busy reading this winter with this fun reading challenge!


    Summer Reading Program - Looking forward to 2023!!

    Take a look at 2022's lineup!  Great things planned for 2023!

    This program for all ages starts in June of each year and continues throughout the summer with opportunities to read and earn prizes as well as exciting activities happening at the library. 

    The Summer Reading Program is free to all ages infants through adults. Children and teens receive logs to track their time spent reading or being read to this summer to earn fun prizes from the library. Adults can enter in a monthly prize drawing. Participants can also take part in exciting clubs and activities at the library all summer long.  Check our Calendar of Events for more information!

         Kids Club - Tuesdays 3:30 to 4:30 pm for ages 4 and up

    • Kids drop in for art, crafts and games and stay as long as needed to complete the activity (usually 30 - 45 minutes)

         Story Time - Thursdays 10am & 11:30 am for infants through early elementary age

    • Our classic story hour continues through the summer but with fun theme related twists

         Music & Movement Time - Thursdays 11 am for infants through early elementary age

    • Join us for a fun time of music, singing and dancing!  Come early and catch Story Time right before or stay after for the next Story Time.  A whole morning of fun at the library for your little ones!

         Lego Club - Thursdays 3:30 to 4:30 pm for ages preschool and up

    • Kids drop in to build with Legos for the older kids and Duplos for the younger ones.  Library will provide the Legos but you are welcome to bring your own (you take them home after each club)
