Salary Range: $20.60 - $25.75/hour

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Status: Part-Time

Benefit Status: Not eligible for benefits.

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises staff and performs functions related to pest management, including; assessing problems; determining appropriate chemicals and amount of application; applying chemicals; and completing required documents and forms.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

· Highschool diploma or GED; and,

· Two to three years of progressively responsible related experiences; or,

· Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Licenses and Certifications:

· Valid Driver’s license

· Licensed Qualified Supervisor in all applicable categories required by the Colorado Pesticide Applicator Act.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (All responsibilities may not be performed by all incumbents.)

· Carries our supervisory responsibility in accordance with polies, procedures, and applicable laws including, interviewing, hiring, and training staff, planning, assigning, and directing work; tracking employee work schedules; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

· Performs pest management functions, including; meeting with citizens, landowners, etc., to assess problems; identifying and documenting areas of pest infestations and maintaining related maps; determining appropriate chemicals and amount of same to be used; measuring chemicals; and applying chemicals and pest management products.

· Complete various documents, reports, government regulation forms, etc., related activities, complete daily logs.

· Assures pest management operations comply with applicable laws.

IMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS:

· May serve as backup for other positions within the department.

· Performs other duties as assigned.
